Polypropylene is usually added with a filler, namely bentonite, to make polypropylene which has better mechanical and thermal properties. The coupling agent is added to improve the adhesion of the matrix with the surface so that the composite component has better durability. To improve the ability of the filler material, bentonite is converted into nanoparticles. Bentonite nanoparticles are expected to have better mechanical, thermal, electrical, and optical properties than particles with micro or macro sizes due to their large surface area. Based on the description above, it is necessary to study the effect of using bentonite nanoparticles with a coupling agent in the form of Maleic Anhydride-g-PP (MAPP) on the tensile strength and thermal properties of polypropylene composites. The variables of this study are the composition variation (weight %) of polypropylene, coupling agent (MAPP), and bentonite nanoparticles of 100:0:0, 95:0:5, 90:5:5, 85:5:10, 92:3:5, and 87:3:10. The method used in this study uses a twin-screw extruder tool with a temperature of 190°C and then tested regarding its tensile strength and thermal properties. The results showed that the addition of nano-bentonite tends to cause an increase in the decomposition temperature of the sample but does not increase the tensile strength of the composite, so it only functions as a polymer composite filler. While based on Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) testing, the enthalpy value decreases with increasing concentration of coupling agent.
Fitria Ika Aryanti, Teguh Budi Santoso Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/120 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Design E-Consulting System Using the Waterfall Model https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/171
Information technology is currently developing rapidly so that individuals, companies and government agencies can play a role in decision making. The current problem is the lack of optimal reporting on academic guidance activities for students and lecturers. Academic guidance is a process of assistance and assistance given to individuals in developing their academic potential. Academic guidance is given by academic supervisors to students in the academic field during the study period with the aim of providing assistance and advice to students in courses and providing continuous supervision for the smooth running of lectures. The role of technology is a strategic part in the implementation of education in achieving goals by systematically designing an e-consulting system using the waterfall model so that academic supervisors get evidence of concrete reports to report lecturer workload and then students get evidence of academic guidance reports as a requirement to take the final project. This case study explains how the implementation of academic guidance can be carried out and according to academic needs and users effectively by using the waterfall model in tertiary institutions under the ministry of industry Republic of Indonesia.
Fajar Daeng Bani, Bayu Prabowo Sutjiatmo Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/171 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis and Evaluation of Productivity Using the Marvin E. Mundel Method and the Productivity Evaluation Tree (PET) at PT. YZ https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/184
PT. YZ is currently still not optimal in utilizing the resources it has (input) so that the results (output) produced are not in accordance with the target which results in a decrease in company productivity and so productivity measurements must be carried out in the company. Besides that, at PT. YZ has never conducted a thorough productivity measurement during the production process. Therefore, in this study, productivity measurements were carried out with the aim of knowing the results of measuring productivity levels at PT. YZ, to find out the factors causing a decrease in productivity levels and evaluate productivity against measurement results that have low productivity. The proper method for analyzing these problems is to use the Marvin E Mundel method to measure productivity and the Productivity Evaluation Tree (PET) method is used to evaluate productivity issues. In carrying out processing using this method, it is assisted by the Embarcadero-Dev C ++ Software. Based on the results of research using the Marvin E. Mundel method, it was found that company productivity had decreased, namely that in 2021 total productivity was 1.14 and in 2022 total productivity was 1.13. The cause of the decline in company productivity is that the labor factor is not clearly regulated for sanctions and rewards for the company; the raw material factor is the long distance of delivery from the raw material supplier to the production site; and the energy factor has not yet carried out accurate calculations regarding the use of electricity for the process. Production and machine factors have not yet established a machine maintenance schedule. The evaluation results using the Productivity Evaluation Tree (PET) method show that total productivity has increased; in 2022, total productivity was 1.13, and in 2023, total productivity was 1.15. To increase productivity, this was done by reducing input, namely the number of workers. By reducing the number of workers, productivity increases.
Endang Palupi Sumarto, Elfitria Wiratmani, Fatoni Fatoni Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/184 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Waste Identification Using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Method on the PT XYZ Transparent Bar Soap Production Line https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/194
The production process is an activity to create or increase the function of a good or service by using existing factors such as human resources, machines, materials and money to make it more useful for human needs. Hospital Pharmacy Installation (IFRS) is one of the health support activity units responsible for planning, procurement, management, storage, distribution, use of drugs, equipment, and pharmaceutical services for medical devices related to the distribution of drugs used in hospitals. Pharmacy has several risks that need to be addressed to increase customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the extent of the implementation of Supply Chain Risk Management, identify risks in supply chain activities, and obtain risk management strategies. In this study, the method used is the assessment of Supply Chain Risk Management and continued the evaluation of the drug chain in pharmaceutical installations with the House of Risk. It is divided into two stages, namely House of Risk Stage 1, which is used to decide the risk in each supply chain, and House of Risk Stage 2, to offers a decision-making strategy for each chosen decision. There are 20 risk events and 20 risk agents in the House of Risk stage 1, and 11 proposed risk management strategies in the House of Risk stage 2. Out of 20 risks identified in stage 1, 11 risks contributed to 80% highest risk, and the top three are drug shortage, inappropriate planning, and unclear doctor’s writing. In stage 2, the three most prioritized strategies are e-prescription implementation, clear signs for LASA drugs, and conducting supplier performance evaluation.
Mushonnifun Faiz Sugihartanto, Muhammad Rizaldy Mahendra, Imam Baihaqi, Hanif Rizaldy Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/230 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Espduino-32 Utilization in the Warehouse Storage Information System of the Metal Processing Industry Department https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/233
An information technology system basically includes 3 things, namely hardware such as computers and printers, then software, and also the user or user who controls it, or what is usually called brainware. In the industrial world, information systems are needed to facilitate the work carried out by users. Based on the results of observations at the research location, several problems were found, namely the process of searching for items took a long time due to the location of the items not being well organized and the layout of the shelves in the warehouse being quite confusing. The number of items in the warehouse is also not recorded, making the warehouse manager unable to confirm the number of items in the warehouse. Numbering shelves in the warehouse is also a problem because insufficient lighting makes it difficult for users to find the right shelf in a short time. By designing an information system in the form of a website related to the warehouse inventory system which is connected using WiFi connectivity with the Espduino-32 module which controls the relay to turn on the shelf marker lights when and during the user's search for items. The results obtained from the implementation are that the process of searching for items in the warehouse is easier and can be done in a short time with the shelf number information listed in the search system as well as the indicator lights that will light up during the search process
Miranty Miranty, Andy Nasriadi Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/233 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Leadership During ERM Transition Implementation in The Public Sector https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/242
This research aims to determine the appropriate leadership style in the public sector transition period from implementing vernacular risk management to formal risk management or ERM. This competition causes the level of demand between companies to fluctuate greatly, resulting in problems in the company's inventory system for goods or products. Inventory problems that often occur in a company include over stock, stock out, underproduction, overproduction, back log, and inventory that is not in line with company targets. This inventory problem is one of the things that must be overcome by controlling mathematically using methods that suit needs. One method that assumes this fluctuating demand used a model Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Probabilistic. Therefore, this study aims to examine the use of Probabilistic EOQ in controlling company inventory and find out how much influence the use of this model has on company inventory. This study uses the method Systematic Literatur Review or SLR with a qualitative model that combines several literature articles as a reference for the study. The study produced several important notes on the use of the Probabilistic EOQ model. This model aims to optimize total inventory costs with the assumption that demand for products or goods is very fluctuating. This model assumes that the data is normally distributed with a waiting time or lead time as a basis for decision making in calculating optimal inventory. Apart from that, other supporting methods are needed to strengthen calculations in overcoming inventory shortages, such as safety stock or safety supplies and reoder point. The research results show that this method can be used on various types of food and non-food items. Apart from that, this method is considered to be able to reduce total inventory cost or total inventory costs.
Annisa Wirrdiana Yuniasih, Nur Rohmah Lufti A'yuni Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/220 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Cash Flow Statement Analysis on PT Tanaka Citra Gemalang Tangerang Plant 2016-2020 Period https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/207
Based on PT Tanaka Citra Gemalang cash flow statement, it shows that their cash activities from 2016-2020 have an unstable condition, the difference is very significant, this can cause from Covid-19 pandemic that company has been facing. The manufacture of slider products goes through several departments, namely die casting, assembling, painting and plating. The process of making slider products begins with the die casting department which carries out the production process using 17 machines. The problem that exists in the die casting department is that the level of productivity is quite low, so an analysis of the effectiveness of the die casting machine is needed. The aim of this research is to evaluate the performance of the production process in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the company as a whole. The method used in this research is overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and six Big Losses. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method is used to measure the effectiveness of production process machine performance in manufacturing companies using the parameters availability, performance and quality. In OEE there are six big losses which are categorized into 3 main categories, namely quality loss, downtime loss and speed loss. Then an analysis was carried out using the Pareto diagram and fishbone diagram to find the root causes of the problems that occurred. The results of this research, namely the results of OEE calculations on the C – 07 Die Casting machine, obtained an average OEE value of 78.6%. Based on the six big losses calculation, breakdown losses occupy the highest value with a percentage of 23.1%, making it the losses that most influence the value of machine effectiveness.
Eko Tamas Prasetio, Adriyani Oktora Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://jurnal.stmi.ac.id/index.php/jtm/article/view/239 Thu, 29 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0000
